What is the ultimate motivational factor that will spur you into action for any of your goals including weight loss? Here's a test to get you thinking. Imagine that you only have one day to live. Reflect on your life over the next few minutes. Do some reflecting tonight after work or when you have a quiet moment alone. Think of all of the things you are happy to have experienced from childhood to the present.   Now think about all the things you would have liked to have done or that you may have passed up because you didn't think you were able. List the things you wanted to do but didn’t because you waited for that right situation. Guess what? NOW is the perfect time, not only because you most likely have more than 24 hours left to live, but each day that goes by without you having “gone for it” or tried to realize a dream will forever be a day with regret. Wouldn't you rather look back with great satisfaction that you traveled the road you desired by choice and actions taken, rather than by chance? It may be a tough way to get motivated, and stir up some emotion, but that's good.  Use that emotion to get going, and to keep focused on the path of health and fitness -- the path of a fulfilling life. You might feel some limitations, such as time. The journey, not the destination, is the accomplishment. Another limitation: "If I only had more money, then I could...."   Imagine that you have all the money you could possibly need. What would you do differently?  Go back to school? Travel the world? Think of all those things and get good ideas from them. These are the things that you should be striving for. One last point: What do the people who have the greatest degree of fitness and health, of spirituality and inner peace, or of financial wealth, all have in common? They are the most involved. They have the most commitment. Every action somehow provides more of what they have. To attain things you want in life, start saying YES to what will get you there. I have yet to meet a person who truly regretted giving up unhealthy foods when the reward for doing so was living their dreams! Throw yourself completely into whatever it is you want to accomplish. BE the person you want to BE because time IS running out. Don't look back and say you didn't give it your all. DO IT NOW! Will powerBest-selling weight loss author Julia Griggs Havey wants to help one million people lose weight for free using the PGX Program. Learn how you can join her mission. How many times have you gone on a diet? How many times have you gone OFF of a diet? The number ONE reason that people give for falling off of the proverbial diet wagon is that they “have no willpower”. To succeed at dieting it is therefore essential that we find this mystical “willpower” and ensure that we keep it so that it will work for us and we will lose weight. Willpower is the strength of will to carryout one’s decisions, wishes or plans. “Will” is the mental faculty by which one deliberately chooses or decides upon a course of action. Diligent; purposefulness; determination. Our WILL needs to be strong. More interesting: Upon close examination of what the words really mean, we cannot ever be WITHOUT willpower! If you are a living, functioning human being—aware enough to want to ‘go on a diet’—then there is NO way that you are without the “mental faculty by which you deliberately choose”. The problem is WHAT you are choosing! We rationalize that we have NO willpower when the Twinkie wins out and we throw in the dieting towel. The truth is that you willed to eat the Twinkie more than you willed not to do so. Willpower is tied to purposeful determination. You must know WHY you are doing this, what you want to get out of it and how it is going to impact your life and the lives of others. Then, you must be determined to realize your purpose! Willpower lies within. Defining your purpose, and believing that you have the determination to realize it, opens up fast inner stores of “willpower”. Here is your new mantra: I WILLpower. Every day, say this to yourself as you get ready in the morning. When you are faced with food challenges, remind yourself that you are fueled by I WILLpower and that you don’t need whatever treat is tempting you. KNOW that you can, believe that you WILL and DO what you are determined to do! Sign up for Julia's program today!

Women with blanketBest-selling weight loss author Julia Griggs Havey wants to help one million people lose weight for free using the PGX Program. Learn how you can join her mission. What I wouldn’t have given to have the answer to weight loss woes back when I was 290 pounds! Oh sure, I tried to find the secret, I looked everywhere for an answer. It wasn’t until I looked within that I found the lasting solution that I desired. Within? Ok, that sounds easy enough, but WHERE! You want an exact location to go to and find this secret. OK, here it is: YOUR MIND! Like any great achievement that you set out to do in life, it must first start with making up your mind that you are going to do whatever it is that you are embarking on. Then, you need a plan! Getting started seems to be the hardest part of this journey, it really doesn’t have to be so. So it would seem that the entire “getting started” step is simply making up your mind that you are going to:
  • Lose Weight
  • Get into a size 6
  • Get Healthier
The correct answer is C! You should never make the success or goal of your journey rest on what the scale’s measure is or what size you wear. That just isn’t the right mindset to carry with you as you venture down this path. Why? You may be asking yourself, well the reason is that on any given day, week or month, you may be doing it ALL healthfully, eating well, exercising, drinking water and thinking positive thoughts…but the dog’on scale just isn’t budging.  We have all been there and done that! What then happens is you throw in the proverbial dieting towel and grab for the nearest Twinkie. Motivation is shot down and your progress comes to a screeching halt…just because the scale didn’t budge! If you really think about, that is just absurd! If you are living a healthy lifestyle, it is just a matter of time until your body catches up to your mind and better reflects your actions. Now that you hold the ultimate solution in your hands, what are you going to do with it? The answer to that question my friends, is “apply it” to all that you do! Getting healthier is a mindset, a lifestyle and not a target or goal. We can always improve our health; do things even healthier than the day before. This is an endless journey with great benefit! I have summed this thought up into what I call the Julia Theorem, HF+E+W=WL. Healthy foods + Exercise + Water = Weight Loss! Apply it to your life and you can’t lose. Well, actually you will lose! Weight!! Sign up for Julia Havey's program today!

Julia Havey, a master motivator who helped thousands achieve their weight loss goals, developed this 12-week program that focuses on making small healthful changes that warrant huge results. Successfully making these small but powerful changes progressively builds your confidence. Although healthy eating is a vital part of any weight loss plan, the PGX program does not centralize on restrictive diets or regimented food plans. The secret to increasing your energy levels starts in your mind. Let me give you a mind-stimulating scenario: You’ve just been informed that you've won $10 million! Think of all the things you could do with your new riches -- pay your debts, travel, give to charity, hire a personal trainer and full-time chef to make healthy meals, buy a new home equipped with an exercise room. Let your imagination go with all of the positive ways you could change your life. Stop reading and just indulge for a moment, without limitations.

"You have increased the energy level inside you by just focusing your thoughts on something exciting. Even if it's for a moment, you have become passionate about something in your life!"

That same principle can be applied in your life starting today. Aren't there many things to be excited about that will provide that energy? How about making a list of the things in your life that you can first be thankful for, and second be passionate about? Having a home that is heated in the winter and cooled in the summer; clothes to wear; a computer to access anything you want to know about (and to read this article!); and more! These are things that can lift your mood and spirit, and therefore your energy level, if you just take the time to notice them. If we can just shift our focus a little bit each day to something more positive, then we are also shifting our energy level. Here is one more way to raise your energy level. Take the time to define what you can and will be passionate about every day of your life. What are you doing now or what do you want to do (or BE) that will get you jumping out of bed in the morning, excited to start your day? What dream do you have for your own life that will keep you inspired to live life to its fullest. Come up with a goal that you want to reach in your lifetime. Health and fitness in all areas of your life will be required to reach that goal! There is no energy pill that can take the place of, or overcome, the energy created by our thoughts. Learn to be passionate about all the great things in your life and your life's goal, and you really will find that the best way to increase your energy level permanently is to keep your thoughts positive and passionate!
