PGX's Top 5 Picks from Master Motivator, Julia Havey!

We've delved deep into our archives and picked out some of our top posts from Julia. Enjoy!

All things Julia! This time last year we received a lot of really great advice from Master Motivator, Julia Havey. So, below, we have compiled our Top 5 posts from the past!

  1.  One of our favourites from Julia last year was a particularly inspiring post detailing A PGX Success Story.

  2. Mmm, chocolate ... milk! Julia brought it to our attention that not all chocolate is bad; in fact, chocolate milk is one of the best recovery drinks, post-workout! Read her post, Permission to have chocolate, to learn more about chocolate milk's many benefits.

  3. We loved the message of this post, A Beautiful You, Inside and Out., that highlighted 5 ways to help PGX'ers be their most beautiful selves, inside and out.

  4. Super Fruits and PGX by Julia provides an in depth look into the benefits of superfruits - including that they're a great source of fibre!

  5. Last but definitely not least, another inspirational post from Julia Havey: The Road to Lasting Weight Loss. In this post from the past, Julia lays out how to achieve your weight loss goals in 10 simple steps. These 10 steps are a great platform to start your weight loss journey, allowing you to ring in the New Year with a plan to accompany your 2013 resolutions!

Hi PGXers!

I wanted to thank you for all the comments you've left for me on Facebook and Twitter! I'm so excited to be a part of your journey!

Many of you wrote to me asking for a favorite recipe and I had to share this one with you. With Fall just around the corner I think this is the perfect muffin. I hope you enjoy these as much as I do!

Sweet Potato PGX muffins

  • 4 cups mashed, cooked sweet potatoes, skins removed
  • 12 scoops whey protein powder
  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup uncooked oatmeal
  • 2 cups almond milk—unsweetened
  • 20 grams PGX granules

PREP: Preheat oven to 350 and line 24 muffin tins with paper cup liners.

MIX: All ingredients except PGX. Just before pouring the mixture into your muffin tins, add PGX and stir thoroughly. Then spoon the mixture into the tins.

BAKE: 15 minutes or until done (we like gooey muffins in my house!)

Enjoy!

Hi PGXers!

I wanted to share my self-improvement journey with you and how the lessons that I am learning might apply to you and your journey.

My friend Ann and I are “training buddies” and she brings her military background to life and the gym. She has told me that she won’t give up on me as long as I don’t give up on myself. Last week I admit, I didn’t give it my all.

Dr. Oz said once said of me that, “I walk the walk” well, it’s time for me to start walking the talk! I AM determined and I am going to fight like a warrior to realize the goal I have set for myself. Ann wouldn’t give up on me and I’m going to give it 110% effort!

"The point is that life and weight loss isn’t always easy. But it always is what you make of it!"

I also know that you can get side tracked from your weight loss goals by your vices! 71% of people struggle with them, the other 29% are at a healthful weight. I know that if you bust your vices you will be far more successful at reaching your weight loss goals than if you continue to struggle with them. I know that taking PGX makes sticking to your healthy resolutions so much easier because you aren’t having to battle hunger all day.

I know that I will not give up on you as long as you do not give up on yourself! I know that I can get over the wall and realize my quest for fitness and I KNOW that you can realize your goals, too!

Are you with me?

Let’s do it!

Julia
