When beginning the PGX program or any other weight loss program, it is important to remember that in order to lose weight, your body needs to burn more calories than it consumes. Exercise, of course, increases the amount of calories burned in a day, helping to increase the amount of weight one can lose. Almost as important when trying to lose weight is decreasing the amount of calories that you consume, which can be difficult if your body keeps telling you to eat. PGX will allow you to comfortably eat smaller portions and feel full longer, as well as decrease the between-meal or evening food cravings that are almost impossible to ignore. Because feeling hungry and deprived is often what causes people to drift away from their diets, PGX can be added to any sensible diet plan or program if you already have one that works for you.
How and When to use PGX® PGX Daily Ultra Matrix Softgels: The recommended dosage is 6 softgels with each meal. Not everyone’s body can handle this amount, so it is important to start out with 2 softgels with each meal, increasing by 1 softgel per meal every 2-4 days. You will know PGX is working when you feel full for longer and have decreased food cravings between meals and in the evening. Take the softgels 10-15 minutes before your meals with a large glass of water (375-500 mL).
PGX Granules: As with the softgels, it is important to start with a reduced amount of PGX and slowly build up to the recommended dosage. Start with 2.5 grams of granules and increase the amount every 2-4 days until you reach 5 grams of PGX with each meal. You will know that you have reached the ideal amount for your body when you feel full for longer after meals and have decreased food cravings between meals and in the evening. Take the granules up to 30 minutes before or with your meals with a large glass of water (375-500 mL). Granules can be sprinkled on moist foods or mixed into soup or a glass of water. Always drink a large glass of water with each dosage.

- Take PGX before breakfast, lunch and dinner, building up to the recommended dosage as mentioned above
- Make sure to drink lots of water (375-500 mL) with every dose of PGX and throughout the day
- Be sure to eat breakfast every morning, as it gets your metabolism started. Try cereals that are high in fibre or bran. Taking PGX with your breakfast will help you feel full for longer.
- As your dose of PGX increases, watch your cravings and appetite for snacks between meals and in the evening. You should notice your food cravings decreasing.
- As your desire for these foods decreases, be sure to avoid buying high calorie snacks or sodas.
- Prepare meals and nutritious snacks ahead of time.
- Once appetite and food cravings are under control, begin to decrease the portion size of your meals as you increase the amount of PGX you are taking.
- Supplement your diet with essential fatty acids and digestive enzymes.
Start increasing the amount of exercise you get. Try to get at least 30 minutes of exercise every day, even if that requires three 10 minute sessions.
