The PGX Program

When beginning the PGX program or any other weight loss program, it is important to remember that in order to lose weight, your body needs to burn more calories than it consumes. Exercise of course, increases the amount of calories burned in a day, helping to increase the amount of weight one can lose. Almost as important when trying to lose weight is decreasing the amount of calories that you consume, which can be difficult when your body keeps telling you to eat. PGX will help you to comfortably eat smaller portions and will help reduce appetite. If you have another diet in mind or are currently on a different program, go ahead and use PGX, it makes every diet work better. 

How and When to use PGX®

It is important that PGX® be taken before each meal. The recommended dosage is 6 softgels or 5 grams of granules 5-10 minutes before each meal. Some people find as few as 2 softgels or 2.5 grams of granules to be the right amount for them. Start with 1-2 softgels or 2.5 grams of granules, and gradually increase dosage every 2-3 days until portion size and between-meal food cravings are decreased. Don’t forget to drink 8-12 oz (250-350 mL) of water with every time you take PGX.

Is the PGX program for you?

  • You have to resist cravings for certain foods
  • You always feel hungry
  • You have low energy throughout the day
  • You have health problems associated with your blood sugar
  • You have a hard time motivating yourself to either start a diet, or stick with one
  • You have high cholesterol or other cardiovascular problems

Of course, the key to improving any of the above problems is through healthy eating and exercise, but PGX can help get you started by following the steps below. It is recommended to consult your health care professional before starting any new program. 

  1. Take PGX before breakfast, lunch and dinner, building up to the recommended dosage
  2. Make sure to drink lots of water with every dose of PGX and throughout the day
  3. Be sure to eat breakfast every morning as it gets your metabolism started. Try cereals that are high in fiber or bran. Taking PGX with your breakfast will help you to feel full for longer
  4. As your dose of PGX increases, watch your cravings and appetite for snacks between meals and in the evening. You should notice that food cravings are decreasing.
  5. As your desire for these foods decreases, be sure to avoid buying high calorie snacks or soda.
  6. Prepare meals and nutritious snacks ahead of time.
  7. Once appetite and food cravings are under control, begin to decrease the portion size of your meals as you increase the amount of PGX you are taking.
  8. Supplement your diet with essential fatty acids and digestive enzymes.
  9. Start increasing the amount of exercise you are getting every day trying to get at least 30 minutes of exercise every day, even if that requires three – 10 minutes sessions.
